Scale and Clean
A Scale and Clean or ‘teeth cleaning’ is undertaken by a dentist or dental hygienist to remove the plaque and calculus/tartar deposits that have built up on the teeth, over time.
Ultrasonic equipment and fine hand tools are used to remove these deposits without harming the teeth. Once clean, teeth are polished. This type of dental care is preventative and should be in addition to daily brushing and flossing.
